CARY BREGE

Conference Director

The Guild Conference began with an unexpected friendship between two artists who share a deep love and concern for the souls of Christian creatives.

Singer, songwriter, and producer Jess Ray teamed up with Spoken Word Poet Sharlene Provilus to host the first Guild Conference in 2021. Cary Brege, a supporter of artists and local concert host, joined the leadership team in 2022. These women have leaned into their respective giftings to create an experience at The Guild Conference that supports creative people and encourages creative community. Make sure to introduce yourself when you see them!

The Guild Conference is leading, teaching, and partnering with creative people, for creative people.

We’re creating an experience that encourages intentional rest, resetting, and reflection in the presence of God in light of our call as creative people made for creative community.

  • Absolutely not. We believe healthy creative communities are made up of artists as well as people who love engaging with beauty. The Guild provides an opportunity for artists and non-artists alike to enjoy creative arts and to support faithful creative expression.

  • We know not everyone can make it in person to Raleigh NC on November 7-8th. This year we are offering an option to purchase a ticket for a live stream of the conference. The live stream will be available to watch in real time and also recorded so you can watch later when you want. Livestream tickets available now!

  • We love filling the conference space with beautiful art from our attendees! Click HERE to find out more and apply. Note the deadline is Friday Sept. 26, 2025 at midnight.

  • You should absolutely come! We will have plenty of opportunities for people to connect and build relationships. You might come not knowing anyone but we are confident you will find your people once you are here.

  • No, the evening keynote is included as part of your conference registration. A few keynote-only tickets are available if you want to make sure to catch LaNell Grant’s talk but can’t make the whole conference.

  • We look forward to feasting together at The Guild this year! Your conference ticket includes dinner on site on Saturday November 8. Friday dinner and Saturday lunch will be on your own. Feel free to check out the many local restaurants or pack a meal and enjoy a picnic in the community garden on site. We encourage you to connect with friends new and old over meals, they just might end up being one of your favorite parts of the weekend!

  • This year's conference will be at North Ridge Church in Raleigh, NC. We are excited to be back in a larger space that will allow us room to spread out, an opportunity for breakout sessions, a place to enjoy a meal together, and a natural area to explore. We want to push back on the lie that whispers that creatives need to leave ordinary churches to find full creative freedom and support. We believe there is space for meaningful creative expression within regular churches and the presence of creatives will ultimately transform that very culture.
